WOMEN EMPOWERMENT PROJECT

WOMEN EMPOWERMENT & OUR VISION.

Women’s empowerment and promoting women’s rights have emerged as a part of a major global movement and is continuing to break new ground in recent years. Women empowerment is a tool to develop a nation. When women are living safe, fulfilled and productive lives, they can reach their full potential.

The economic empowerment of women is a vital element of strong economic growth in any country. Empowering women enhances their ability to influence changes and to create a better society. Empowerment of women involves the improvement of their status in the family, community and society.

Giving women economic opportunities is undoubtedly a crucial step in achieving female empowerment in Pakistan. Pakistan Vision 2025 has embedded five components of women’s empowerment into its objectives, including activities that promote women’s self-worth, right to determine their choices, access to opportunities and resources, right and power to control their lives – both within and outside the home and ability to influence social change.

ABOUT THE PROJECT: FOODMAMA

FOOD MAMA aims to support sustainable, inclusive and equitable economic growth by promoting women’s economic empowerment in public and private sector in Pakistan.

NCCB recognizes that women are key drivers of innovation growth and jobs, and that the private sector plays a crucial role in creating an environment in which women can more meaningfully participate in the economy and it has set concrete targets to achieve this.

Home cooked food is always good. The lockdown has given wings to the aspirations of a few secret Women Chefs at Home. The secret Women chefs are those who decided to cook a fixed menu of their best dishes, and started selling through social media and a network.

Women constitute 49% of Pakistan’s population, they constitute only 24% of the labor force. The ILO data indicates that Labor Force Participation Rate (LFPR) for men (82.5%) is more than three times higher than women (24.8%). The gender gap in LFPR is one of the world’s highest, making Pakistan comparable with Arab states and countries of North Africa.

FOOD MAMA is designed to empower all those women who are currently COOKING HOMEMADE FOOD & delivering it without any established identity, appreciation & the right price. Without even knowing that their home cooked food delivered with different restaurants name & with higher margin of Profits.

At home mostly mothers are cooking food, we are empowering them with a unique & exclusive Portal dedicated for only Home Cooked Food by WOMEN, giving them the opportunity to register their business under their own name as the owner (If not registered) & receive the right price of their HOME COOKED FOOD directly in their Bank Account without any hidden charges.

This project is itself a cause, it’s a cause to empower the mothers at home, to give them the support they need, to ensure they get registered & become an entrepreneur, have their own bank accounts where they can control the money as they want & should. But it does not end here, this project is will also empower the daughters, as the daughters will be the one promoting this cause, the daughters will be the one to help their mothers in their businesses.

HOW IT WORKS:

FOODMAMA will be operated on NON-PROFIT basis. All the initial expense on developing Portal, Registration of business with FBR, development of business logos & opening of Bank Account will be Paid by the SPONSORS (ONE TIME). FOODMAMA will charge minimum delivery charges as to Pay the RIDERS with no hidden Fee or any other charges.

On FoodMama.com, Mama Chefs can register their account, as soon as they get the approval & all the required documents (FBR/Bank/etc), they will then be able to sell their delicious food.

FoodMama will have an app on both PlayStore & AppStore catering all the devices out there, this app will contain all features as Click to Buy, Payment Systems, Delivery Tracking System, Buyers Profile, Reward System and all.

BACKEND SUPPORT & OPERATIONS:

FOODMAMA Project is based purely in NON-PROFIT module. NCCB will not the EXECUTE OR OPERATE the Project & will hand over the whole Project to s single or multiple SPONSORS accordingly.

Sponsor will take over the whole Project without Paying anything to NCCB as NCCB believes in developing Projects without any financial benefits working on introducing & developing Projects for the betterment of Humanity.

IBrandigo as NCCB official Partner has adopted this startup & upcoming emerging women’s empowerment project FOOFMAMA as Digital Technology Partner.

Once the SPONSOR is finalised, IBrandigo will be responsible for the overall execution of this project on behalf of the Sponsor as the Sponsor will Pay directly to IBrandigo for developing the website, apps, delivery tracking systems, portals, registration process/system, payment gateway systems, to designing, crafting the strategy to ensure the project is fully focused on women empowerment & not commercial centric.

If you would like to participate, sponsor or assist at any level, please contact Mohammad Mohsin Durrani Regional Director & Head of Projects at mohsindurrani@nccb-un.org & join the cause to empower the Mothers as they deserve all the respect & love.

NAALO – AWARENESS CAMPAGN AGAINST THE USE OF GUTKA-CHAALIA-MAINPURI & PAAN

Oral cancer is a lethal disease with generally increasing incidence and consistently low survival rates for the past three decades. It is a cause of great concern all over the world and a major threat to public health in Pakistan, though a wide geographical variation in incidence and mortality is observed. It is the eighth most common malignancy internationally but in Pakistan it is the second commonest as per recent records of an established and well maintained cancer registry of Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital.

According to the World Health Organisation, in all of South Asia, oral cancer is most prevalent among Pakistani men. While the rate of oral cancers has grown beyond 4% (4 out of every 100 cases of cancer is oral) in the country, it stands at an alarming 30% in Karachi. As a result, the Sindh High Court (SHC) recently ordered strict action against the sale of gutka and mainpuri across the province.

According to the head of the Civil Hospital’s Karachi Oncology Unit, Dr Noor Muhammad Soomro, the majority of 900 patients examined for oral and throat cancer from January 2019 to mid-Oct were youngsters suffering from initial stages of oral jaw and throat cancer.

NAALO in collaboration with National & International health & hygiene organizations will start programs promoting preventive measures, public awareness and oral hygiene practices among the people involving communities for a productive results.

FREE MASK & HAND SANITERS DISTRIBUTION CAMPAIGN

ONE MILLION FREE CLOTH BAGS – SAY NO TO PLASTIC

Plastic bags are difficult and costly to recycle and most end up on landfill
sites where they take around 300 years to photodegrade. They break down into tiny toxic particles that contaminate the soil and waterways and enter the food chain when animals accidentally ingest them.

We are committed to distribute ONE MILLION CLOTH BAGS.

LEARNING ON WHEELS – SEEKHO CHALTAY CHALTAY

EACH ONE – SUPPORT ONE

Our passion should be the foundation for our giving. It is not how much we give, but how much love we put into giving.

Making money is a happiness; making other people happy is a super happiness. We don’t all have the same amount of money, but we all do have time on our hands, and can give some of this time to help others whether that means we devote our lifetimes to service, or just give a few hours each day or a few days a year.

Supporting someone is being fully committed to a person
every step of the way. Supporting another is a sustainable act of empowering them. All you need to do is support one person, expecting nothing in return.

Launching another initiative & awareness campaign on supporting each other “EACH ONE – SUPPORT ONE” we can start with supporting ONE rather than waiting for supporting more than ONE.

GOODWILL AMBASSADORS FOR EACH ONE - TEACH ONE & EACH DAUGHTER - TEACH DAUGHTER CAMPAIGNS

NCCB SDG AMBASSADORS:

Achieving the SDGs must be considered as the floor, not the ceiling; and it will be possible if today’s innovative and ambitious solutions are mainstreamed to become the norms of tomorrow – in every community and jurisdiction around the world

To help reach our goal of actively supporting and enhancing the work of the United Nations’ efforts for implementing & achieving SDG 2030, our NCCB SDG AMBASSADORS contributes to the SDG 2030 Agenda in the following ways across the Globe:

  1. NCCB SDG AMBASSADORS will connect with the Global SDG Advocates for sharing ideas & their achievements in their respective countries.
  2. NCCB SDG AMBASSADORS will work & introduce local & global projects directly aligned to the Sustainable Development Goals.
  3. NCCB SDG AMBASSADORS will arrange meetings, seminars & face to face sessions with Teachers, Students, Parents, Human Rights & Youth Activists & community members for awareness & importance of achieving SDG 2030 Agenda.
  4. NCCB will arrange Annual Visit of NCCB SDG AMBASSADORS to UN HQ for attending UN SDG related events depending on the availability of Funds & Confirmation from the UN.

EACH DAUGTHER – TEACH DAUGHTER

There are still 31 million girls of primary school age are out of school. Approximately 17 million out of 31 million are expected never to enter school. By 2030, it is expected that 20 percent of young people and 30 percent of adults worldwide will still be unable to read. If maximum number of women completed their primary education, maternal deaths would be reduced by 70%.

Approximately 16 million girls aged 15 to 19 years give birth each year. 60% of undernourished people worldwide are women or girls. For every extra year a girl stays in school, her income can increase by 11%

Mothers’ education improves child nutrition If all women had a primary education, 1.7 million children would be saved from stunting from malnutrition.  If all women had a secondary education, 12 million children would be saved from stunting from malnutrition. Girls with higher levels of education are less likely to get married at an early age.

Investing in girls’ education transforms communities, countries and the entire world. Girls’ education strengthens economies and reduces inequality. It contributes to more stable, resilient societies that give all individuals including boys and men the opportunity to fulfil their potential.

EACH DAUGHTER –  TEACH DAUGHTER – CONCEPT

Every child, irrespective of race, gender or religion, deserves an opportunity to pursue their dreams and fulfill their potential. A child’s ability to obtain a higher education shouldn’t be limited or compromised by the circumstances provided by life. With that vision, we have started EACH DAUGHTER – TEACH DAUGHTER.

Children are no doubt a great gift from Almighty Allah to all parents. Parents must think of their children as such treasures that all the wealth and material resources are worthless as when compared to one’s children. Daughters are without doubt a great blessing from Almighty Allah. They are a means of salvation and a path to Jannah (Heaven) for their parents.

Educating girls is a global development priority because it has transformative effects. This investment can be multi-generational: women who have access to education often place a greater value on it, and encourage their daughters to attend school too.

EACH DAUGHTER – TEACH DAUGHTER will bring all those daughters who has completed their Primary, Secondary or Higher Education & would like to teach all those daughters who has never been to School & are willing to learn Basic Education.

EACH ONE – TEACH ONE

Education gives us a knowledge of the world around us and changes it into something better. It develops in us a perspective of looking at life. It helps us build opinions and have points of view on things in life. Information cannot be converted into knowledge without education.

Most countries have their own approach to education systems. There is no universal measure of what success looks like, although, literacy rates, access to education, economic indicators, and how much a government invests in educational streams are common metrics.

Worldwide, there are more than 150 million children aged 3 to 5 who do not have access to pre-primary education, including more than 80% of children in low-income countries. Education costs, on average, US$1.25 a day per child in developing countries

Although education is a basic human right, having uninterrupted access to education remains a challenge for millions of people. Cost barriers such as school fees, textbooks, and uniforms make it difficult for disadvantaged students to have complete access to education.

EACH ON – TEACH ONE CONCEPT:

Every child, irrespective of race, gender or religion, deserves an opportunity to pursue their dreams and fulfill their potential. A child’s ability to obtain a higher education shouldn’t be limited or compromised by the circumstances provided by life. With that vision, we have started EACH ONE TEACH ONE.
