Muhammad Ali Yabgo is a motivated and disciplined individual with a strong passion for sports and personal development. He completed his schooling at Army Public School, Karachi, and pursued FSc (Pre-Medical) from Bahria College Karsaz, where he developed a solid academic foundation and a strong work ethic.
He is an active sportsman representing the Northern Citizens Community Board (NCCB) since August 2024. Muhammad Ali regularly participates in badminton and cricket and follows a dedicated fitness routine that includes swimming and gym training. His athletic involvement reflects qualities of teamwork, resilience, leadership, and competitive spirit.
In addition to sports, Muhammad Ali has participated in various academic and creative activities. His achievements include a Certificate in Art and Creative Writing (2018), a Certificate of Distinction (2021), participation in a Zonal Quiz Competition (2021), and international recognition through the International Kangaroo Mathematics Contest (2018), International Kangaroo Linguistic Contest (2017), and the CEATS Competition (2017). These accomplishments highlight his analytical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
With a strong dedication to athletics, consistent training, and community representation, Muhammad Ali Yabgo continues to grow as an aspiring sportsman while contributing positively to the Northern Citizens Community Board and promoting the values of sportsmanship and discipline.
Sheikh Jahangir
Coordinator, NCCB (Gilgit-Baltistan)
Sheikh Jahangir joined the Northern Citizen Community Board (NCCB) in March 2024 as Coordinator for Gilgit-Baltistan. He is actively involved in advancing NCCB initiatives that promote inclusive participation and institutional outreach across the region.
He works with community leaders, youth groups, educators, and civil society actors to support civic awareness and social development, ensuring that local concerns are reflected in NCCB’s strategic engagement.
At the regional and international levels, he contributes to partnership-building with NGOs, academic institutions, faith-based organizations, and development stakeholders, strengthening NCCB’s collaborative presence and outreach.
In particular, Sheikh Jahangir oversees the Human Rights Chapter of NCCB for Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitral. In this role, he focuses on issues related to social justice, protection of vulnerable communities, advocacy for fundamental rights, and awareness-raising at the community level. He supports documentation, coordination, and engagement with relevant platforms to highlight regional human rights concerns.
He also assists in advocacy, documentation, and media-related efforts, drawing on his background in journalism to enhance public engagement on education, inclusion, youth empowerment, and community resilience.
Additionally, he supports the organization of seminars, training programs, medical camps, and consultative forums, while contributing to coordination and follow-up to ensure accountability and sustainable outcomes.
Through these responsibilities, Sheikh Jahangir continues to contribute to NCCB’s mission of participatory development, human dignity, and service to humanity.
Kainat Zehra
Kainat Zehra – Honorary Zoologist and Conservation Educator, NCCB
Kainat Zehra joined NCCB in March 2023 as an Honorary Zoologist and Conservation Educator. She holds a Master’s in Wildlife Zoology and has conducted extensive research and habitat observations at sites including Haleji, Kinjhar Jheel, Hawkes Bay, Sandspit, and the Mangrove Forest.
At NCCB, Kainat focuses on biodiversity conservation and awareness programs, with special emphasis on engaging youth and women in Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitral. She actively visits these regions during her vacations to support NCCB initiatives, fostering environmental education, community involvement, and stewardship of Pakistan’s natural heritage. Through her combined expertise in research, education, and outreach, Kainat contributes significantly to NCCB’s mission of protecting and sustaining the country’s wildlife and ecosystems.
Afaq Pervez
District Coordinator – Health & Environmental, Karachi
Afaq Pervez is a dedicated zoologist and environmental professional who plays a pivotal role at the Northern Citizen Community Board (NCCB), leading initiatives that connect community health, environmental conservation, and climate action. With extensive experience in healthcare services and scientific research, he brings a unique combination of field expertise and community engagement to NCCB’s programs in Karachi.
Specializing in wildlife and biodiversity conservation, particularly in avian species and mangrove ecosystems, he applies his knowledge to design and implement projects that protect vulnerable habitats while promoting public awareness about environmental sustainability and the urgent challenges of climate change. His work focuses on integrating scientific research, ecosystem management, climate resilience, and community outreach, ensuring that NCCB’s initiatives preserve natural resources, strengthen local ecosystems, and enhance the health and well-being of communities.
Through his leadership, NCCB has advanced environmental and climate-focused programs, fostering public participation, volunteer involvement, and sustainable practices across Karachi. His contributions exemplify the organization’s commitment to addressing climate change, promoting ecological protection, and advancing human welfare in a holistic and impactful manner.
Muhammad Saqib
Sustainable Tourism Advocate.
Muhammad Saqib is a community-focused development practitioner currently serving as a Representative of the Northern Citizen Community Board (NCCB), a UN ECOSOC-accredited civil society organization. He formally joined NCCB in March 2025 and has since been actively contributing to NCCB’s mission of inclusive development, youth empowerment, and sustainable livelihoods, particularly through community-based tourism initiatives in northern Pakistan, including Chitral and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Since joining NCCB, Saqib has been engaged in supporting and promoting NCCB-led projects related to sustainable tourism, entrepreneurship development, and youth engagement. His role focuses on strengthening community participation, promoting responsible tourism models, and linking local communities with national and international platforms aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). He works closely with local stakeholders, youth groups, and civil society actors to amplify NCCB’s advocacy and grassroots impact.
Through NCCB, he has supported community resilience and humanitarian initiatives, particularly in disaster-affected regions of northern Pakistan. He has contributed to NCCB’s volunteer-driven relief and coordination efforts during flood emergencies, assisting affected communities through on-ground support and local coordination.
With exposure to international travel and tourism practices, Saqib brings a global perspective to NCCB’s development work, emphasizing ethical tourism, cultural preservation, and economic opportunities for local communities rather than commercial gain. His engagement is centered on capacity-building, awareness, and representation, not private business promotion.
Fluent in English, Urdu, Pashto, Punjabi, Sindhi, and Hindko, he effectively communicates with diverse communities and represents NCCB’s objectives across regions.
As an NCCB Representative, Muhammad Saqib remains committed to advancing people-centered development, promoting youth leadership, and supporting community-driven solutions that align with NCCB’s values of service, inclusion, and sustainable progress.
Baloch Adnan Karim
Honorary Coordinator – Social Welfare – NCCB
Baloch Adnan Karim joined the Northern Citizen Community Board (NCCB) on 30 September 2025 as the Honorary Coordinator for Social Welfare. Since joining, he has been actively involved in planning, coordinating, and implementing initiatives that create meaningful impact in underprivileged communities.
He works diligently to protect legal human rights, ensuring marginalized groups have access to justice and social support. Baloch Adnan has been instrumental in advancing education-focused programs, including scholarships for underprivileged students, literacy campaigns, and awareness initiatives to empower communities.
Additionally, he contributes significantly to NCCB’s humanitarian projects, such as the Free Lunch Box initiative, which provides essential meals to children and families in need. Through his dedication, leadership, and commitment to social welfare, Baloch Adnan has helped NCCB expand its reach and strengthen its impact both locally and internationally.
